Transitional Interior Design Style
Preparing to downsize in 3-5 years I wanted to make some easy home improvements in preparation for selling the home. I chose grey cashmere color scheme to accent against the cherry wood floors and implemented this color throughout the home on walls and carpeting, selecting some walls to accent with a deeper tone. For the kitchen I chose to paint the perimeter cabinets white and the kitchen island deep teal to coordinate with the grey cashmere. The new oil rubbed bronze kitchen hardware repeats the brown in the existing granite and backsplash. The primary bathroom and guest bathroom were upgraded with marble backsplash, plumbing and decorative lighting fixtures, wall mirrors, rugs, accent wall paint and custom window treatments. For the guest bathroom I painted the cabinets charcoal gray and selected a coordinating granite for the countertop.
